The Legend of Hedgehog boy
"Even Monsters have to Sleep"

Watercolor on watercolor canvas
16" x 20"

Comments: I love the title of this one, because despite his somewhat cute exterior lies a monster. Not all monsters are bad.

An except from the story: words by Damon Mahoney

People sometimes came into the park as well. At first Hedgehog boy was very wary of them and would stay hidden, but soon his curiosity got the better of him. He began to play tricks on them, like leaping down and surprising them then waving his knife at them and scampering off. This began to be a favorite sport of his. He loved terrorizing people, for he considered himself one of the animals and felt these people did not belong in his park. People were mean and he wanted them to leave him alone, but still, it was fun to scare them and throw things at them. Sometimes he was able to steal things from them as well. Useful things like shoelaces and sandwiches.
