When
one creates, the endless noise surrounding us gets worked through
and for a time the world makes sense. After it is done, you have
something that communicates.
T
he greatest themes in life
are explored through art. Love, hate, jealousy, fear, anger, passion
and anything else you can imagine. I believe an artist's job is to
tell these stories.

A
fascination for the physiological aspect of art pushes me in the
direction of the figure. Im interested in creating characters and stylistically combining them with
imagery and notions from my own life, I create the
stories with symbols and metaphor.
With those metaphors I ask the viewers to interpret for them selves the
questions
that lie in the work
These questions are different
for everyone, and that is what makes each person look at a piece of
art differently. I Still believe paintings and drawings can be maps to your soul if you let them
be. Because we are all connected each scene and image can point to your own life...if you are open to see it.
Symbols
taken from life seem to have profound meaning for everyone as they
are seen and used everyday. They're symbolism is tied to ones
personal life and have endless possibility's in meaning. However taken out of real life context and placed in an artist own mythology they have the effect of triggers for viewers. My favorites are still swords and clocks.

René
Capone

I
grew up in upstate New York. My childhood was far from normal, infact it was down right horrific. Im the oldest of Four very emotionally and physiclly abused children. The best and only thing that i can state n this short bio, is that i escaped.
In school I developed a love making art
at a very young age. I loved it for the way it made me feel, and for
the way other children would look over my shoulder to see what I
was making. It was later in life that I
realized the full potential of creating art as i tried to tackle the demons of the mishapen upbringing : The realization that
expression and creation were freedom. Art was a place where one could say, do or
believe in their own way.
I
went to art college in
New York City at Parsons School Of Design. Naturally I majored in
fine art. New York fed my appetite for excitemen. Having always been the curious type I was in heaven. But the big city was not for me...i had to go where rainbows end.
I
live and work in San Francisco, I find allot of creative energy
here. A city full of runaways, i fit in here. I'm still exploring the possibilities of meaning in
interpretation with rendering with figure. Now i tell stories and illustrate the passages with my characters, In 2007 I wrote my first short novel "The Legend of Hedgehog Boy". I hope to get it published this year.
To all the people who have a piece of mine in their homes, Thank you. Without
people to look, there is no artist. So from the bottom of my heart
there is nothing but respect and love for you all. The older I get the more shocked I am at how many of my little creations
